Energy Transition in Focus: ACG Accent’s Actions for Reduced Energy Consumption
ACG Accent faces challenges regarding our primary energy impact – the energy consumption – mainly at our suppliers’ manufacturing facilities, which frequently operate using non-renewable energy sources. Our aim is to reduce this energy usage by developing collaborative strategies with our suppliers.
Through the implementation of energy-efficient technique and an optimised purchase process, we strive to minimise our climate impact and increase renewable energy utilisation. Our initiatives align with the United Nations’ sustainable energy and climate action goals. We aim to be climate neutral by ongoing energy efficiency actions, thereby supporting more sustainable operations and reducing climate impact.
Specific Goals and Ambitions
- Increase the number of suppliers using electricity from renewable sources by 100 % by 2029/30 at the latest
- Reduce the amount of district heating purchased by 50 % by 2029/30 at the latest
- 100% renewable energy in our own manufacturing process
